My Health Story
I spent my entire life battling allergies. Twelve years ago I developed digestive issues that manifested as chronic acid reflux. Meditation was my only relief from these issues, but sometimes the medications left me feeling worse than the actual symptoms. This led me to open my world and conduct my own research. I learned that the food we eat can either be a poison or a medicine to some people. Through self-study, I learned to identify the foods that were poison to me. Once I eliminated those foods, my acid reflux and allergies disappeared.

This discovery led me to go back to school to study nutrition. In school, we were introduced to Ayurveda, a 5,000 year old system of health from India. Ayurveda is based on the idea of a connection with the natural world, that the mind and body are connected, and that we are all unique. This clicked with me and everything I had learned on my own health journey, and I wanted to know more! After a trip to India a few years back, I was inspired to return to school once again to learn the healing system of Ayurveda. My hope is to share with you all of the amazing, and honestly life-changing,  things I have learned about this beautiful system of healing.

My Credentials
I grew up in southeastern Pennsylvania  and received a B.A. in Art from St. Mary’s College of Maryland.  As part of my studies, I traveled and studied abroad in Senegal, The Gambia, Guatemala and Italy. My career in the arts had me working at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and later managing an antique prints and maps gallery in San Francisco. In 2013, I completed my certification as a holistic health counselor with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and in 2016 I completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher. My certification as an Ayurveda Health Counselor with the Joyful Belly School of Ayurveda was completed in 2020, and I am currently practicing in the Denver area.
